Spiritual Direction, like Coaching, is a conversation. It differs, however, in that the focus is on helping the directee pay attention to God's personal communication with them and their response to God. Spiritual Direction focuses on the experiences that evoke the presence of the mysterious Other whom many call God.
Each session begins and ends with prayer yet the 'content' of the session is completely up to the directee who leads the session while the director listens, reflects, and invites further questions and exploration from the directee.
Spiritual Direction can be a lifelong practice that ebbs and flows in frequency and intensity. However, it can be especially helpful to engage in Spiritual Direction during periods of discernment and change in one's personal, professional, and/or spiritual life.
Spiritual Direction is an ongoing relationship between director & directee. I request a minimum 3 month committment for new Spiritual Direction clients.
The International Coaching Federation defines Coaching as: "Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking & creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal & professional potential."
My practice approaches people as complete & whole beings who already have the tools & answers they need. Sessions can explore all areas of a person's life & health - emotional, physical, spiritual, career, relationships, etc. - to help them live into their authentic self, to create change, and access their goals & intentions.
Coaching is a conversation - a period of holding sacred space infused with powerful, open-ended questions - which allows a person to discover answers deep within themselves & encourages them to put those answers into action through goal-setting & accountability.
While a single Coaching session can be beneficial, many clients find the most benefit from 3-5 sessions held at regular intervals.

Do you have a group (colleagues, community, church, etc.) that would love to experience Coaching or Spiritual Direction together? Group sessions might be just what you're looking for! Great for strategic vision planning, retreats, quiet days, and more.
A group Coaching or Spiritual Direction session is like a series of individual sessions where each member of the group receives personal engagement; however, a group session has the added benefit of group members experiencing the work taking place with others and benefiting from lessons learned and ideas explored. Group sessions can be themed or general in nature.
I'm available to offer talks & workshops to your group or organization.
I'm especially interested in these topics, but would love to discuss other subject ideas with you!

The labyrinth is an ancient archetypal symbol dating back more than 5000 years. While a maze is designed for you to lose your way ... the labyrinth is designed for you to find your way. The path meanders and turns, but there are no dead ends or multiple routes - in fact there is just one path always leading to the center and back out again. This truth allows us to focus on journeying the path and experiencing the metaphors that arise.
There is no correct way to experience a labyrinth.
And yet there are things to know and meaningful actions that can help create a rich experience with this ancient tool.
Incorporating the labyrinth as a spiritual & meditative practice can add meaningful depth to personal and corporate experiences. You can work with the labyrinth on its own or as part of a larger event. Let's connect and imagine how the labyrinth might be right for your needs!
